Caravan Park Big 4 Holiday Park Phillip Island Victoria Australia

With a Koala Conservation Centre, Penguin Parade, and lots of hiking trails, you might find that one day just isn’t enough to explore all that Phillip Island has to offer. If you need a place to camp or stay in a cabin for a multiple day visit, check out Big 4’s Caravan Park on Phillip Island. To find it, you won’t have to travel far past the bridge to Phillip Island from the mainland, because your first left turn will take you to the Holiday Park. Big 4’s Caravan Park has tent, caravan, and cabin accommodations, along with lots of amenities and access to nearby Newhaven Beach.

At this holiday park, the powered campervan sites and cabins are mixed together so that the powered sites are lined up in between cabins. If there’s a downside to this park it’s that the sites are packed close together and might feel a bit too neighborly. The upside is that there are multiple beach access points within the caravan park so that you can plot a quick escape. Brew a cup of coffee or tea in the morning and start your day off with a quiet stroll on the beach.

One area of the holiday park that shouldn’t feel as crowded is the non-powered tent camping area, where 12 sites are spread out on the edges of a green lawn backed by forest. The non-powered sites are located near the holiday park’s reception building and the kitchen and dining facilities. If you’re camping in a tent or campervan and do not need electricity, save a few dollars and stay in the tent area to enjoy a bit more privacy.

The Phillip Island Caravan Park has everything you would expect to find at a Big 4 Holiday Park. Amenities include toilets, shower (complimentary to guests), laundry, and a large kitchen and dining area that opens to the outdoors where there are electric barbecue grills.

This is the type of place that families go for weekend vacations and children gather together to bike around in packs. The holiday park organizes daily kids activities and there is a playground, jumping pillow, volleyball court, and a TV, video, and game room.

The reception office is open daily from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. (or 8 p.m. during daylight savings). Checkout is at 10 a.m. Wireless internet is available for pay. Fires are not permitted, but gas and electric stoves are allowed unless a total fire ban is in place. Generators are not permitted and pets are also not allowed. Make reservations online or by calling (03) 5956-7227 or (800) 990-090. If you have questions, email info@phillipislandcpk.com.au for more information.
